Teams have the potential to produce more than the sum of the contributions of individual members.  Achieving this synergy can be difficult when limited resources, communication breakdowns, and a frenetic pace of work contribute to stove-piping and inter-departmental conflicts. In order to achieve true team alignment, collaboration, coordination, and communication, team members need to possess and leverage key skills and tools to unlock their potential. 

Performance Insight takes a multi-faceted approach to teambuilding and team coaching, addressing the multiplicity of issues that impact team dynamics and team functioning.  We help teams form a “one team” mentality and improve cohesiveness by clarifying the team’s purpose, goals, roles, and processes.  Team members are taught and coached to understand, respect, and adapt to individual differences and to use this skill when communicating, managing conflict, and collaborating on problems and issues.  We also help the team adopt common methods, tools, and processes to bring to bear on problems and decisions.  Teambuilding sessions incorporate a combination of team skills training, hands-on activities, interactive discussion, ongoing feedback, and the resolution of real business issues. Outcomes from this program typically include agreed-upon “rules of engagement” for individual team member behavior; an agreed-upon business rhythm; a Master Alignment and Role Clarification Chart™ that delineates roles, responsibilities, and counterparts; and a Communications Plan book to facilitate communication and improve interpersonal dynamics.
