Most executive teams spend far too little time working long-term and strategic concerns: defining the strategy; effectively aligning it with initiatives, budgets, objectives, goals, and incentives; and communicating this strategic alignment to employees.  Research supports this fact in that only a very small proportion of the workforce reports being familiar with their organization’s strategy and how what they do impacts it.  Without alignment up, down, and across the organization, strategy execution will be fractured and inefficient.
