Steve founded Performance Insight with the mission to inspire insight to ignite individual, team, and organization performance. To ensure mission success, over the last 20 years, Steve has developed and fine-tuned his OTI™ approach that systematically integrates organization-, team-, and individual-level business solutions.

Steve’s vision is to be a “trusted, long-term, strategic business partner” by his clients. Steve has industry experience in a wide range of industries, including financial services, manufacturing, information technology, intelligence, government contracting, aerospace, and defense. Steve works with commercial and government organizations, both for-profit and not-for-profit. His clients range in size from Fortune 100 companies to start-up operations and are located both domestically and abroad. These clients have attested to Steve’s ability to assess, provide insight, align, problem solve, facilitate, and coach. Steve’s experience partnering with organizations across many industries allows for comprehensive benchmarking and leveraging of “best practice” business intelligence.

Before Performance Insight, Steve was President of Executive Decisions International, a Chicago-based management consulting firm. Prior to that, Steve was an organizational psychologist with Gehlhausen Ruda & Associates. Before that, Steve worked for the U.S. Air Force Human Resources Directorate in San Antonio. Before the Air Force, Steve worked as an independent consultant in the areas of personal coaching, teambuilding and leadership development. He also has served as an academic coach and facilitator for the Virginia Tech Office of Academic Assessment.

Steve earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. He went on to earn his M.S and Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Virginia Tech. To keep himself current in his field, he is an active member of The International Coach Federation (ICF), The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), The American Psychological Association (APA), The Association for Talent Development (ATD), The Society for Human Resources (SHRM), and The Lancaster County Association for Human Resource Management (LCAHRM). Steve recently earned the designation of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation (ICF), the world’s largest coaching organization.  To earn this certification, Steve had to meet stringent education and experience requirements, and demonstrate mastery of coaching competencies.  Of the 47,500 professional coaches now in business worldwide, only 3,600 have been designated PCC.  Steve has conducted research, authored publications, and given talks on such topics as “Leading and Engaging During Times of Change,” “Coaching and Feedback for Results,” “Effective M&A Due Diligence and Integration Management,” ”Facilitating Effective Contract Governance Through Partner Alignment,” and “The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.”
